Brightstar HID information

For 5000k HID's the price is $320.
6500k $340
8000k $360
11000k $380
13000k $400

Bulb bases available are H1, H3, H4, H4H, H7, H11, 9004, 9005, 9006, and 9007.
For H4H Hi/Lo add $22 bucks for the special harness.

For reference:
2nd gen 3000GT Low beam: 9006
2nd gen 3000GT Fog light: H3

The prices are the same for headlights or foglights. They are different bulb bases however, and seperate kits. Remember that just because the higher kelvin temperatures are more expensive, does NOT mean they cast more light.... it means they are harder to produce. This is one of those rare instances where less expensive is better. 5000k casts the most light...read more about this below.

Details for this buy:
I get a great price because I order directly from the manufacturer as a dealer. I have done one other order for just the Spyder owners, and I have heard nothing but good things. Several of the guys bought both headlight and foglight bulbs. I have had these bulbs on my car for 2 years now with no problems. Both Fog and headlights.

I need 15 people to make this worth it to order. I have 4 orders verified. So we need 11 from 3SI. Headlights and foglights counts as 2 orders.

I doubt I will do an order like this for a long time, if ever again. If you want to be in on this, you need to be sure you have the money, and you are not in a situation where the money will dissapear. You have 14 other people counting on you to know what you are doing, so please, don't be in this buy if you won't be able to paypal the money as soon as we have the 15 people.

Does it have to be just 3SI people?
No, it doesn't. If you know someone who wants HID's with one of the avaliable bulb bases, they can get in on this too.

I have a 1st gen 3000GT/Stealth with pop-ups, can I have HID too?
Yes. You need to purchase a $70 dollar H4 conversion from 3SX. I have a couple H4 5k's and 6500k's in stock, and you do not need to join this buy. Contact me now.

A common misconception that people have is that you can see more with the "blue" bulbs. Well, that is not the case. As the color temperature raises, the amount of lumens decreases. If you are looking to buy an HID kit to maximize your visibility you should get the 5000K kits, which emits a light that is closest to the sunlight. As the color temperature rises, the lumens slowly drecreases. On the other hand, if you want to add a "cooler" look to your car you can get the higher color temperature kits, which are still significantly brighter than regular halogen bulbs. Note that none of the Brightstar HID bulbs are have a blue coating on its lens, unlike the poor quality HID bulbs out in the market.

Another misconception that "temperature" refers to heat. In regards to HID's it means the color in which the HID emits light. Genrally, the closer to 4200k, the more light. Now, on the topic of heat, HID's actually produce less heat than halogen bulbs.

3000GT/Stealth/GTO bulb base for 94-up is 9006 Lo, H3 fogs.

These are the same HID's I have on my car. The conversion took me about 15 minutes... they work beautifully with our projector lights casting a very white beam in front of the car. I personally LOVE them, and have had them on my daily driver for about 2 years.

If you have looked around there are prices on the net from $450-$600+.

Here's how they install.
1. Plug the ballast into the ignitor. Plug the bulb into the Ignitor (1 minute).
2. Pull out your old light, unplug your old light. Plug the ballast into the plug, and put the HID bulb right back where the old bulb was. It is seriously that easy. (2 minutes).
3. Mount the ballast somewhere. This isnt required, but it's a good idea. (5 minutes).

Yes, the ballast fits right behind the headlights. It's almost like it was meant to be there.

These HID's are made by brightstar... Certified ISO 9001 German TUV and EMARK. They have a 1 year warranty, and Brightstar is 1 of 3 companies in the world that make both the bulb AND ballast. It's good stuff. I put them in both headlights and foglights. I used 150 watt Yellow Ions in the headlights, because they usually arent on.
